KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty, the well-known love birds are all set to tie the knot at the earliest, as confirmed by the actress’ father Suniel Shetty, during the launch event of his thriller series Dharavi Bank. The right-handed batter took part in the recently concluded 20-20 World Cup 2022 and eventually failed as an opener, drawing criticism from all ends of the world.
During the launch event, when Suniel was asked about his daughter’s wedding with Rahul, the actor said that it would take place soon. “Jaldi Hogi (it will happen soon),” Suniel was quoted as saying on the sidelines of the event.
However, it is not the first time that the Bollywood actor opened up about their wedding, as he said that the duo will get married as soon as they get a break from their professional commitments. Earlier this year, Suniel said that Rahul had a busy schedule and the duo will tie the knot once he gets a break.
“I think jaise hi bachhe decide karenge (it will happen as soon as the kids decide). Rahul ke schedules hai. Abhi Asia Cup hai, World Cup hai, South African tour hai, Australia tour hai. Jab bachho ko break milega tab shaadi hogi. Ek din me shaadi nahi ho sakti na? (Rahul has busy schedules, Asia Cup, World Cup, South African tour, Australia tour. The wedding will happen only when the kids get a break. It can’t happen in a day, no)?” Suniel had said earlier.
KL Rahul struggles to find his lost form
When it comes to cricket, things have been going extremely wrong for the talented batter, as he gathered only 128 runs for team India in the entire 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaign averaging around 21 and a poor strike rate of 120.75.
However, the batter would hope to find his lost form at the earliest and make a strong comeback for team India. Although Rahul is not in the best of forms, the Men in Blue have been backing him, to ensure that the talented batter finds a rhythm.
