A police official said that Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav‘s father, Mahadev Jadhav, was found hours after he went missing from their Pune home on Monday. According to Kedar Jadhav’s complaint at Alankar police station, his 75-year-old dementia-stricken father left their Kothrud home for a morning walk and was last seen exiting the housing complex’s gate.

According to an official, Mahadev Jadhav was found in the Mundhwa area of Pune. “His condition is fine and he has been reunited with his family,” Senior Inspector Ajit Lakde of Mundhwa police station said.

Jadhav had previously posted on Instagram about his father’s disappearance. He then posted another story on Instagram informing his followers that his father had been found in the Mundhwa. “Thank you all for prayers. Will be grateful always,” he wrote in the story.

Here are Kedar Jadhav’s stories

The 37-year-old made his Team India debut against Sri Lanka on November 16, 2014, and will play his final ODI against New Zealand on February 8, 2020. Kedar has played in 73 One-Day Internationals and 9 T20 Internationals, scoring 122 runs at an average of 20 and 1389 runs at an average of 42.

In the meantime, the right-handed batter did not register himself in the auction for Indian T20 League 2023. The former Chennai player had gone unsold in the 2022 mega auction as he saw a dip in performance in the previous seasons.

The 16th edition of the Indian T20 League will kick off on March 31st, with four-time champions Chennai taking on defending champions Gujarat at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This edition of the cash-rich league brings a lot of excitement as it will return to its original home-away format after three seasons.

The three seasons were played in different venues due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The entire 2020 season took place in the UAE, while the first leg of the 2021 season began in India before being postponed and relocated to the UAE. The 2022 season was played across four venues in Pune and Mumbai.
