Former Indian skipper, and arguably the most successful captain, MS Dhoni, is one of the fittest players in the world. At the age of 41, the former Indian skipper has proved his fitness time and again. While he has been retired from international cricket for over two years, he continues to play for Chennai in the Indian T20 League.
The veteran cricketer has now begun the preparations for the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league. A photo from a recent training session arranged by the Chennai team has been doing rounds on the internet.
In the photo, Dhoni can be seen striking the ball in the nets. However, fans were left in awe of the cricketer looking at his flexed biceps. “Are these biceps for real?” wondered a fan. “Yeah, who needs retirement when you have a gym membership!” wrote another fan.
The four-time champions’ player camp is currently underway at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, where the team’s captain is spending long hours at the nets fine-tuning his batting. Dhoni has struggled with the bat over the last three seasons. But, in what is expected to be his final season, Dhoni wants to go out in style.
Following several videos of him playing big shots during a net session on social media platforms in the last few days, a new video of him wearing a musician’s hat and playing the guitar has gone viral on the internet.
The video, which was shared on Wednesday by the franchise’s official Twitter handle, is from an ad shoot in which Dhoni can be seen having fun with his Chennai teammates Shivam Dube, Deepak Chahar, and Ruturaj Gaikwad. “Groovy Wednesday!” was the caption for the video.
