Jos Buttler is in a dream form in the 15th edition of the Indian T20 League 2022. He has already amassed 491 runs in the tournament with three centuries in just seven matches. The orange cap holder of the tournament has spoken up about a rule that he feels should be included in the cash-rich league.
Buttler feels that if a team is slow on their over rate, it should be mandatory that one extra fielder should be brought inside the 30-yard circle. This would allow an extra advantage to the batting team.
In a recent conversation with ESPNcricinfo, the English batter was asked about a rule he would like to see in the ITL from other T20 Leagues. Buttler replied – “If you are slow in your overs one of the extra fielders has to come in the circle.â€
He was also asked if he would allow Ravi Ashwin to run a batter out at the non-striker end if he is captaining the Indian off-spinner and if Ashwin will comply with his orders. Buttler replied frankly that he would not allow Ashwin to run someone out at the non-striker end as a captain and he feels that the off-spinner would not have obeyed him.
Meanwhile, speaking of Buttler’s performance in the Indian T20 League 2022, he continued his golden form against Delhi also. He scored a brilliant 116 runs from 65 deliveries in the match and on the back of this brilliant show, Rajasthan put up a huge total of 222 runs in their 20 overs. The bowlers of the team held their nerves till the end as they appeared victorious by 15 runs in the match. There were twists throughout the match, and it came down to Delhi needing 36 runs in the last over. Rovman Powell gave a scare to the men in pink after hitting three sixes off the first three deliveries of the last over. But Obed McCoy held his nerve and Rajasthan won the match by 15 runs.
