India’s legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar needs no introduction. He ruled the cricketing world with his willow for over two decades. Tendulkar holds a plethora of records to his name in international cricket. No other batsman has been able to score more runs than him in international cricket.
In his illustrious career, Tendulkar scored over 15,000 runs in 200 Test matches for India. Besides, he has also played 463 matches in ODIs, scoring 18426 runs at an average of 44.8. He was the also part of the India’s 2011 World Cup winning campaign. He scored the most runs for the team in that tournament. He was, in fact, the second highest run-scorer in the tournament.
Sachin Tendulkar also has a great record to his name in the Indian T20 League. Throughout his career, he has only played for Mumbai. Sachin played 78 matches for the franchise and managed to score 2334 runs at an average and strike rate of 34.8 and 119.8. Currently, he is playing his trade as a mentor for Mumbai in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League.
Mumbai played their fifth game against Punjab on Thursday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. Rohit Sharma and Co. slumped to their fifth consecutive defeat and, with that, dampened their chances of reaching the playoffs.
Meanwhile, a video featuring Sachin Tendulkar and Jonty Rhodes has been surfacing on social media. After the completion of the match between Mumbai and Punjab, the members of both the teams came together to shake hands. Sachin Tendulkar was also present there.

Meanwhile, Mumbai are yet to open their account in the Indian T20 League. They have played five matches and have lost all five of them. Rohit Sharma and Co. are slated to play their next game against Lucknow on Saturday at Brabourne Stadium.
