Day Three of the ongoing World Test Championship final (WTC Final) 2023 is in progress as we speak. In the game, the Aussies were asked to bat first. After losing three wickets for 76 runs, the likes of vice-captain, Steve Smith and Travis Head put together 285 runs for the fourth wicket. Both players scored their individual hundreds with the latter counter-attacking innings.
After their wickets, the team lost seven wickets for 387 runs, Alex Carey helped the team reach 469. In reply, the Asian side was reduced to 71/4, Ravindra Jadeja scored a counter-attacking 48 runs but was caught at slips late on Day Two. On the second ball of the ongoing Day Three, KS Bharat was sent back by Scott Boland. At 152/6, the likes of former vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur have put together 57 runs and counting.
Meanwhile, a fresh weather report says that the rains are expected to play spoilsport on Days four and five. Even though the weather updates can be tricky, the Indian fans have found some relief in the news as their national side are way behind in the game.

Rain’s a part of the gentleman’s game for even, centuries back when the sport started. It was only played as a test game. So rain is not an excuse but a part of the test game.

Meanwhile, there is a reserve day for the eventuality of the game ending in a draw due to rain. If the weather forecasts are correct, the game will be played on June 12, the reserve day too. However, if the game still ends in a draw, the trophy will be shared by both, India and Australia.
