Rohit Sharma pulls off an amazing imitation of Virat Kohli’s celebration.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli share a very good rapport on and off the field. During the recent award show, Rohit Sharma was asked to imitate Virat Kohli’s celebration. For his part, the 36-year-old Indian star did an admirable job as the clip has now gone viral.

Virat Kohli has pulled out of the first two Test matches versus England due to personal issues. India’s Apex Cricket Body has asked the fans and media to give Virat Kohli and his family their privacy.

Meanwhile, on the field, Team India has taken a 190-run lead during the first Test versus England in Hyderabad. At lunch, England were placed at 89/1 having lost the wicket of Zak Crawley. Ravichandran Ashwin picked his 494th Test wicket when he had Crawley caught by Rohit for 33.

Michael Atherton hits out at KL Rahul

KL Rahul batting at the number four position in place of Virat Kohli was out for 86 runs. Former England opener Michael Atherton has slammed the 31-year-old for gifting his wicket away.

Michael Atherton had this to write about KL Rahul in the Times Newspaper “They were fortunate that India’s top order were in a generous mood but the situation at the close was very bad even so, and could have been even worse. It is hard to imagine that Virat Kohli would have been as obliging as his team-mates were here, and the biggest culprit was his replacement at No. 4, the stylish and gifted KL Rahul, who had a hundred for the taking before hammering a long-hop from Tom Hartley into the deep,”

There has been speculation about Jack Leach and his fitness as the veteran didn’t bowl that many overs. While writing on the issue, this is what Atherton observed “The most puzzling aspect revolved around the deployment of Jack Leach, England’s most experienced spinner. Until now, Leach has been something of a pet project for Ben Stokes and, in response to the many shows of faith, Leach has responded by growing in stature and confidence”

Starting the day on 421/7 with an overall lead of 175, India were bowled out for 436. Joe Root picked two wickets in a single over to push the hosts onto the backfoot. Ravindra Jadeja was the first to go for 87 when he was out LBW. The very next ball Jasprit Bumrah saw his stumps rattled as he was out for a first-ball duck. Axar Patel was the last man out for 44 as he was bowled by Rehan Ahmed while looking to cut the ball.
