India and the former veteran of Saurashtra For the three T20Is that will be contested from August 18 to August 23, a head coach named Sitansu Kotak will travel to Ireland alongside the Indian team. Due to important competitions like the Asia Cup as well as the ODI World Cup that the Indian team will be competing in later this year, head coach Rahul Dravid and his staff, especially batting coach Vikram Rathour as well as bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, have been rested from the Ireland T20Is.

As he did against Ireland the year before, National Cricket Academy (NCA) director VVS Laxman was initially scheduled to serve as the team’s interim head coach. The former illustrious batter, however, has chosen to remain in Bengaluru to join the Emerging camp.

Sitanshu Kotak, the NCA’s batting coach, was given the chance to step in whilst Dravid and company were off the pitch. Given that he has already served as the A-side’s head coach spanning a number of years, he has some experience.

Jasprit Bumrah returns to the Indian team after 10 months

When Jasprit Bumrah was declared fit and selected as the captain of the team for the T20Is versus Ireland, it was undoubtedly one of the most significant reliefs the Indian team might have had.

The fast bowler has been away from the sport for nearly a year, but it appears that he has returned just in time for a key three-month stretch of ODI matches for Team India. Along with him, the squad might also want to consider bringing Prasidh Krishna to the Asia Cup as a backup bowler.

On August 15, the players will leave from Mumbai together with the members of the subcontinent, led by captain Jasprit Bumrah. The right-arm bowler will compete in his first match since September 2022 in an effort to bowl aggressively in the ODI World Cup in 2023.

The Village in Dublin will host the three T20Is on August 18, 20, and 23, respectively. During their brief tour last year in preparation for the T20 World Cup in Australia, the Men in Blue prevailed 2-0.
