Following his incredible performance in the just finished T20I series against Australia, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has risen to the top of the T20I bowling rankings. Bishnoi becomes the latest member of an exclusive group of Indian bowlers, who have been ranked at the top in Men’s T20I bowling rankings.
In Men’s T20I Cricket, India leads the world in both the bowling and batting rankings as Ravi Bishnoi follows Suryakumar Yadav. Afghanistan bowler Rashid Khan was displaced as the number one player by Ravi Bishnoi today. The Lucknow Super Giants player, who was rated No. 5 the previous week, has risen five ranks today.
When he was ranked Number 5 last week, Ravi Bishnoi possessed 664 points. However, after his heroics against Australia, he gained 34 more points. With 699 points, Bishnoi surpasses Rashid Khan, who was in first place since March 2023, by 7.
With 9 wickets in only five matches, Ravi Bishnoi was the most prolific wicket-taker in the series. Considering that Bishnoi had only made his debut in T20I cricket in February 2022, this is an incredible accomplishment. He has taken 34 wickets in 21 games that he has participated in.
Ravi Bishnoi has reassured the selection committee that he is a serious candidate for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja are just a few of the fierce competitors Bishnoi has to compete with for the coveted spinners’ positions.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, meanwhile, held onto his seventh-place ranking in the batting rankings. Gaikwad scored 223 runs in five games during the just finished five-match T20I series. During the third Twenty20 International at Guwahati, he scored a century, but another Glenn Maxwell special made it all for nothing.
Hardik Pandya is still ranked third among T20I all-rounders. Since sustaining an ankle injury during the World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh, he has not been able to play.
