Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the occasion of his 58th birthday, treated his fans with the first glimpse of his next film ‘Dunki’. Known as ‘Dunki Drop 1’ SRK posted the video to his Instagram account, captioning it, “A story of simple and real people attempting to fulfil their dreams and desires. Of friendship, love, and being together… Of being in a Home relationship! A touching story told by a touching storyteller. It’s an honour to be a part of this journey, and I hope you’ll join us. The #DunkiDrop1 is here…#Dunki will be released in cinemas worldwide this Christmas.”
The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. The Dunki Drop 1 gives us a glimpse into Rajkumar Hirani’s wonderful world. It’s a heartwarming story about four friends and their quest to reach foreign shores. And it charts the arduous yet life-changing journey they are about to embark on to make their dreams come true. Dunki is a love and friendship saga based on real-life experiences that brings these wildly disparate stories together and provides hilarious and heartbreaking answers.
Shah Rukh Khan’s double celebration:
The teaser raises questions about why they are travelling to a foreign country, why the soldier Hardi chooses a Donkey Flight, and what happens during the journey, which forms the core of the story. The teaser is full of drama, comedy, and heartbreak, and Shah Rukh Khan appears effortlessly cool and perfectly cast in his role. The overall tone is far removed from the stylish violence of Shah Rukh’s two big blockbusters of 2023, Pathaan and Jawan. They have grossed over Rs 2100 crore worldwide.
