‘Is she mad or what?’- Fans in disbelief as Urvashi Rautela reacts to Rishabh Pant’s car accident in Uttarakhand

Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant survived a fatal accident early morning on Friday while travelling from Delhi to Uttarakhand. The 25-year-old, who was alone in the car, managed to escape from the burning four-wheeler after it hit the divider. Following Pant’s accident, a cryptic Instagram post of Urvashi Rautela has been going viral on the internet.

The actress posted a photograph from her photoshoot and captioned it ‘Praying’. Earlier in the year, the actress and the cricketer were at loggerheads after Urvashi revealed that someone named Mr ‘RP’ had waited to meet her in a hotel lobby.

Following the interview, Pant had written on his Instagram story that ‘People lie and do anything to get fame these days’. Urvashi also replied to Pant on her Instagram story and called him ‘Chotu bhaiya’ and a ‘cougar hunter’.

Coming back to Pant’s accident, he was driving a BMW which hit a divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal and caught fire. As per initial information, Pant was first admitted to Saksham Hospital in Roorkee. Now he has been referred to Max Hospital in Dehradun.

According to reports, the wicketkeeper batter was travelling back to his hometown to surprise his family and celebrate New Year with them.  Ashok Kumar, Director General of Police, Uttarakhand told India Today that the cricketer claimed he lost control of the car after falling asleep while driving. Pant was alone in the car at the time of the accident and broke a window to escape.

Pant suffered injuries to his forehead and leg

According to the doctors, Pant suffered injuries to his forehead and leg. After getting the information, Superintendent of Police Dehat Swapna Kishore Singh reached the spot. Dr. Sushil Nagar, chairman of Saksham Hospital, said that at present Rishabh Pant’s condition is stable, he has been referred to Max Dehradun.

“Hearing a loud sound of the accident, nearby villagers along with the local cops, rushed to the spot and pulled him out of the car. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was referred to a major hospital in Dehradun. Pant sustained injuries on his forehead, a hand and right knee. However, he is conscious and able to talk. The car he was driving was completely burnt. He is lucky to survive the severe accident,” said Swapna Kishor Singh, superintendent of police, Haridwar (rural) was quoted as saying by Times of India.
