Chennai Super Kings made headlines by splurging Rs 14 crore on New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell, while India’s Harshal Patel commanded Rs 11.75 crore, making him the third most expensive pick. The auction witnessed notable deals, including Rachin Ravindra, the breakout star of the recent Cricket World Cup, who joined CSK for Rs 1.8 crore.
On the flip side, renowned players like Steven Smith and Rilee Rossouw went unsold, along with India’s Karun Nair and Manish Pandey.
