On Thursday, August 3, at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad, the opening match in a five-match T20I series between India and the West Indies was played. The home team earned a four-run victory in an exciting contest.
However, there was a comedy of errors from the Indian squad involving rookie Mukesh Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal during a stressful period during India’s run-chase of 150. Romario Shepherd bowled Kuldeep Yadav clean on the very first delivery of the 20th over, leaving India 10 runs to win from 5 deliveries.
However, Yuzvendra Chahal entered the batting order at this point in the game. Chahal was summoned back, though, as it appeared the team management preferred Mukesh to go when Chahal was already standing on the pitch. But since Chahal had already entered the game of play and was now considered the team’s next batter, it had become too late for him to make a comeback under the rules.
India bottled an easy chase against West Indies during the first T20I
On Thursday, August 3, at Trinidad’s Brian Lara Stadium, Team India, captained by Hardik Pandya and his men, fell short by four runs in the opening Twenty20 International against the West Indies. In the five-match series, the hosts took an early 1-0 lead.
The World No. 1 T20I team scored 145/9 against seventh-placed WI, falling short of the 150-run target. Ishan Kishan as well as Shubman Gill, the Men in Blue’s opening pair, departed with single-digit scores, giving them the worst possible start.
With the bat, debutant Tilak Varma stood out, scoring 39 runs off 22 balls, comprising three sixes as well as two boundaries. Hardik Pandya (run a ball 19) and Suryakumar Yadav (run a ball 21) both got off to strong starts but couldn’t carry the squad over the finish line. For WI, Akeal Hosein took just one wicket, while Jason Holder, Romario Shephard, as well as Obed McCoy each claimed two.
Fans react to the hilarious moment between Yuzvendra Chahal and Mukesh Kumar during first T20I against West Indies: –
Yuzvendra Chahal walked out at No.10, but the Indian team wanted Mukesh Kumar. Chahal walked off and entered again as he took the field already. pic.twitter.com/MQdGXhJCek

This reminded me of a Regional game where I was playing. A batter used to shadow bat and was prepared to go at the fall of wicket but some other guy went rushing to the crease while he was shadow batting and it happened 2-3 times

When teams are having number 10 & 11 knowing how to bat the mighty team India is playing with 4 tail enders in t20s. Just ICT stuff. ??
