Ravi Shastri is returning to his famous commentary role for the 15th edition of the Indian T20 League. He was last seen behind the microphone seven years ago in 2015.
Star Sport, the official broadcaster of the Indian T20 League 2022, organized a press conference where Shastri, in his humorous way, said that the tournament is one of the greatest physios as every player wants to get fit before the tournament.
 “Indian T20 League is one of the greatest leagues in the world, and it’s also one of the greatest physios in the world, because, before the Indian T20 League auction everyone wants to get fit because everyone wants to play in the Indian T20 League,â€- Shastri said as quoted by NDTV sports
The Indian T20 League 2022 is set to begin on 26th of March 2022, with the opening clash between Chennai and Kolkata at Wankhede in Mumbai. The fans will be enjoying Shastri’s voice once again after seven years as a commentator. But this time, Shastri is a part of the Hindi commentary team, a role that would be completely new for him. Reportedly, he was undergoing training for his new commentary job.
Notably, the former star of the Chennai team, Suresh Rain will also be seen along with Ravi Shastri in the Hindi commentary team. In the same press conference, Raina was asked about his opinion on the most eligible candidate to lead Chennai after MS Dhoni. To this, Raina felt that his former franchise might choose Ravindra Jadeja as the leader of the team after Dhoni. The fans will be eagerly waiting to listen to the duo commentating in the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League.
