Chennai and Punjab will face off at the Brabourne Stadium on April 3 in match 11 of the Indian T20 League. Both teams have had a contrasting season so far. Punjab won their first game against Bangalore while losing their next against Kolkata. On the other hand, Chennai has lost both their games against Kolkata and Lucknow respectively. Both teams will be looking forward get valuable two points.
Punjab:Â The team was badly thrashed by Kolkata in their last game on April 1. Their batting couldn’t capitalize on the start provided by Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Their bowlers took four wickets but their quest to defend the low total was ruined by Andre Russell. However, given their squad combination, it is highly unlikely that they will make any changes in their playing XI.
Kagiso Rabada -Â South Africa pacer played his first game against Kolkata and bowled well. Expect him to improve on his performance and wreak havoc in the next game.
Shikhar Dhawan -Â The opening batter has been one of the consistent batters in the ITL. Although he could not score big against Kolkata, expect him to bounce back against Chennai.
Probable XI:Â Mayank Agarwal (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Bhanuka Rajapaksa (wk), Liam Livingstone/Jonny Bairstow, Raj Bawa, Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar, Odean Smith, Rahul Chahar, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh
Chennai:Â The team has made a forgettable record of losing their first two games of a season of ITL. They are also dealing with injuries to Adam Milne and Deepak Chahar. Chris Jordan is also suffering from a tonsil infection. Given the team’s available resources, they are highly unlikely to make a change in their playing XI.
Moeen Ali -Â Â The English all-rounder started his season with an explosive 35 against Lucknow. Expect him to destroy the bowling attack of Punjab.
Dwaine Pretorius -Â The South Africa all-rounder took two wickets and kept the run flow in check, especially during the slog overs against Lucknow. Expect him to create the same problems for the Punjab batters
