It has been raining in Lucknow for the past couple of days and the weather prediction suggests more rain to follow in the coming hours. This has put somewhat of a dark cloud over the India vs South Africa first ODI match.
India goes into the ODI series with a second string side
India will be coming up with a second-string side led by Shikhar Dhawan for the ODI series against South Africa. Shreyas Iyer who has not gotten much game time is chosen as the vice-captain for the team. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan also make a comeback while Mukesh Kumar and Rajat Patidar are new entrants to the ODI squad.

Star batter Quinton de Kock has also been included in the side. Janneman Malan in place of Tristan Stubbs is the only change in South Africa’s ODI squad.
