India vs Australia: Weather report from Bengaluru ahead of final T20I on Sunday
Rain threat casts shadow over final T20I between India and Australia
Team India has already won the 5-match T20I series against Australia with a game to spare on Friday. Suryakumar Yadav saw his side win the game by 20 runs to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series, with the final game to be played in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Australia had seen most of their key players barring Travis Head go back to Australia. The likes of Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, and Marcus Stoinis had been in India for a long time to prepare for the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.
Rain threat looms large over final T20I –
Indian Cricket fans are set for a frustrating day on Sunday ahead of the final T20I in Bengaluru. The city is witnessing torrential downpours and there is a chance that the game could be either cancelled or interrupted.
As per the weather reports, Sunday afternoon will witness a few showers. By the time the evening progresses, the showers will give way to overcast conditions. By the time the game starts, the weather could clear up partially.
There is a chance of rain later in the day but the expected chances of rain falls drastically to 20-25%. The dew will play a key role in the game on Sunday, so yet again, the skipper winning the toss will want to bowl first.
As far as the pitch is concerned, Bengaluru is always known to be conducive to stroke play. Suryakumar Yadav and his team will enjoy batting on this pitch as will Travis Head if he gets to play the game.
Fast bowlers will get good movement in the air and off the pitch. Spinners could struggle on this pitch and with the small boundaries it is expected to be a batter-dominated game. India might go in with Washington Sundar in the team to give the youngster some game time.
India could also opt to go in with Ishan Kishan and Jitesh Sharma and rest either Yashasvi Jaiswal or Ruturaj Gaikwad from the XI. Shivam Dube could also be given a game as the all-rounder just like Washington Sundar is yet to get a game.
Australia will most likely go in with the same team that played the last game in Raipur. The visitors will want to finish the tour on a high as both teams will have their focus on the T20 World Cup next year.
