Kim Watson, the wife of New Zealand opener Devon Conway, disclosed on Instagram that their unborn child passed away as a result of her miscarriage. After the tragedy that happened to the Conway family, Watson shared a poem by Amy Farquhar on social media along with her sincere feelings. Conway and Watson dated for a while before being married in April 2022 in South Africa. They got engaged in July 2020.
Kim wrote, “I’m not one to be public about my personal life but it’s something I know I’m not the only one who has gone through the tough times of a miscarriage but I don’t want to feel ashamed or embarrassed about it but rather open to talking about my experience and feelings so that I could be there for the next woman going through the heartbreak! We will have our miracle one day and we will love them with everything.”
Conway plays for New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He has been incredible as an opener for both teams and has won numerous matches. Most of the credit behind CSK’s IPL 2023 win goes to Conway for building partnerships with Ruturaj Gaikwad and giving a good start to the team.
Devon Conway’s journey as a cricketer
After moving to New Zealand, Conway’s international career took a different turn. In November 2020, he made his New Zealand debut internationally, and his steady and explosive batting style quickly established him as a player. Conway’s extraordinary skill in all forms of the game has been apparent, but his exceptional T20 cricket skills have attracted the most recognition worldwide.
