The Indian cricket team is currently in the Caribbean Islands for the white-ball series. Hardik Pandya is also part of the visiting squad. The series started in Trinidad as three ODIs and the first T20I were played here. During that time, Pandya decided to meet his old Mumbai mate Keiron Pollard with whom he played in the Mumbai-based franchise from 2015 to 2021.

This year, the India all-rounder moved to now-winners, Gujarat. On the other hand, Pollard was retained by the five-time winners. Meanwhile, the six-time Indian T20 League met his Caribbean counterpart and his family. On the evening of August 4 according to the Indian Standard Time, the Gujarat player uploaded pictures of the visit on Twitter. In the caption, the 28-year-old was thankful for the way Pollard hosted him.

“No trip to the Caribbean is complete without a visit to the King’s home. Polly my favourite and your beautiful family, thank you for hosting me my brother,” the Indian wrote while sharing the pictures.

Talking about the Trinidadian, he announced his retirement from the international circuit in late April. On the other hand, Hardik has made his comeback at the highest level a couple of months ago. Talking about the ongoing series, the team have landed in Florida and will play the last two T20Is. Previously, the team played in St. Kitts and it looked difficult for them to fly to the United States.

For the unversed, the players’ visas were getting delayed and the Cricket Windies (CWI) were looking to stage the games in Trinidad in case visas weren’t issued on time. However, with the intervention of the Guyana government, the visas were cleared. Now, the teams will play the last two games on August 6th and 7th at Lauderhill. This will mark the end of the Caribbean tour for the Men In Blue. After this, they will head to Zimbabwe for the three-match ODI series with a lot of first-choice being rested.
