Cricket is one of the most challenging sports in the world. It requires the players to be at their best for their entire careers. For this, all the cricketers have to spend long hours in practice and keep updating themselves according to the requirements of the game. However, there comes a period in every cricketer’s life when they just can’t perform in the field despite sweating for hours in the practice. On that note, let’s take a look at some of the cricketers who just couldn’t regain their form after they lost it:
Sachin Tendulkar
Hailed as the greatest batter to ever grace the game, Sachin Tendulkar performed consistently throughout his career. The batter has almost all the batting records under his name. However, Tendulkar’s golden run in international cricket also came to an end during the last phase of his career. After the 2011 ODI world cup, where he finished as the second-highest run-scorer, Tendulkar had a dismal run in international cricket.
After his 99th international hundred, the master-blaster took more than a year to score his next one. Following that, there was a century drought which continued till the end of his career. Seeing himself not coming back to form, the legendary finally bid adieu to international cricket in 2013.
