India’s opening batter Shubman Gill has bagged a second-ball duck (Silver duck) in the ongoing second ODI against Australia. Notably, he got out playing the same shot that he played in the first game. In that game, Gill tried to play a flashy drive but was caught at point. In the ongoing game, the same thing happened with him but on the second ball of the game.

On both occasions, Mitchell Starc took the wicket of Gill. At the time of writing, the Men In Blue have lost three wickets and scored 45 runs. The likes of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are batting at the crease. The latter was the Hero for the team as he scored 75 not out in Mumbai. Also, not to forget, Rahul was replaced by Gill in the Test series.

Meanwhile, the fans aren’t impressed by Gill’s silver duck in the ongoing game.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first

Meanwhile, in the game, the India skipper, Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. In the last few days, the pitch and the outfield have been under the covers. At the toss, Rohit said that it was a dry surface which is why he elected to bat first.

“We know we are batting first. Looks a bit dry the pitch. Been under the covers for a while,” Sharma said at the toss.

On the other hand, Australia skipper Steve Smith read the pitch differently. He said that the wicket has some help for the pacer.

“Looks a decent surface and it’s been under covers for a while so might do something. Just the partnerships through the middle. We lost wickets in clumps. If we had partnerships, we could’ve launched in the back end. Hopefully we’ll rectify it today,” Smith said.
