The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction will see Rajasthan Royals (RR) enter with the second-least purse. With just INR 14.50 crores available for spending, they will need to exercise caution in what they decide to buy. They traded Avesh Khan from the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to bolster their Indian bowling. They can buy upto nine players in the mini-auction.
RR’s approach was quite evident throughout the preceding two seasons. They try to assemble a strong starting lineup and invest more on them than they do in superior replacements to round out the team. Their starting eleven is essentially set and will attempt to cover a few loose ends.

The Rajasthan Royals are entertaining, but they haven’t been able to locate a middle-order batsman who can finish well at a lower position. Hetmyer has performed admirably, but RR needs an expert in his place. Shahrukh Khan is a prime contender for the post and will be up for auction in the IPL 2024. Shahrukh is still one of the finest options even if he hasn’t been as reliable and was fired by Punjab Kings (PBKS) following a significant investment. The 28-year-old has good off-spin bowling ability as well. If necessary, RR may substitute him with an experienced bowler in accordance with the impact player rules.

Even though they traded Avesh Khan, the Rajasthan Royals still omitted a few pacers from India and outside. He has played for the Rajasthan Royals in the past so he knows the pitch well. His medium pace bowling is an added benefit for the side. Rajasthan Royals middle order problems can be solved by the addition of Daryl Mitchell.
