Five players from 1 Crore base price category who may go unsold in Indian T20 League mini-auction
991 players from all across the globe have registered their names for the mini-auction.
The Indian T20 League mini-auction is all set to take place on 23rd December in Kochi. 991 players from all across the globe have registered their names for the mega event. The highest base price category for this year’s auction is INR 2 crore. There are also categories of INR 1.5 crore, INR 1 crore, INR 75 lakh, INR 50 lakh, and INR 20 lakh. Players put their names in the categories they feel they deserve to be a part of.
Many cricketers are a part of the 1 crore band in the Indian T20 League 2023 Auction. However, not all of them may earn a contract. Here’s a list of five such players who may go unsold from that category.
Kedar Jadhav

Kedar Jadhav was a match-winner for India in ODIs once upon a time. However, he could not make much of an impact in the Indian T20 League 2020 and 2021. The spin allrounder didn’t have a memorable season since 2018 where his highest strike rate has been 109. He is likely to go unsold in the upcoming auction as well.
David Wiese

Namibian all-rounder David Wiese has done well in Pakistan Super League and Abu Dhabi T10. However, the Indian T20 League franchises have not shown any interest in him. The same trend may continue in 2023. He last played in the Indian T20 League way back in 2016.
Moises Henriques

Another veteran all-rounder to feature on this list is Moises Henriques. The Australian all-rounder has a lot of T20 experience, but lack of exposure to international cricket in the recent past and injury issues may work against him. The all-rounder had a lacklustre 2021 season with the bat where he scored 31 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 96.87.

The left-arm fast-medium bowler from England has played 2 T20Is and 1 ODIs picking up 3 wickets in total. The 27-year-old has got nothing to show for himself to make a strong case for himself in the auction. Hence, he may go unsold.
Martin Guptill

The veteran Kiwi opener is the third-highest run-getter in the history of T20Is. He has played three Indian T20 League seasons so far scoring 270 runs at an average of 22 and a strike rate of 137. Owing to his recent form, Guptill has lost his place in the New Zealand team, so he may not attract any bidder in the auction.
