4. Shardul Thakur
Shardul Thakur had cemented his place in the Indian team in all three formats after his heroics in the historic Gabba Test in 2021. He was brought into the World Cup as an X-factor who could pick wickets at important stages of the game. He could swing his bat around and score valuable runs for the team lower down the order. However, the star all-rounder couldn’t make a name for himself at the grand event as he failed with both bat and ball. Thakur last played a T20I against West Indies at Kolkata in February. He was last seen in Indian colours on the recent Zimbabwe tour.
