In today’s day and age, it doesn’t take too long for anything to go viral, especially when it’s a prediction that turns out to be true. The cricketing world has seen several instances where an expert or a fan has gone to accurately predict the future of a cricketer, or a cricket match.

Thus, during the ongoing first Test between India and Sri Lanka, a fan shockingly predicted Virat Kohli’s dismissal. The fan’s Tweet was noticed by everyone after his dismissal. As a matter of fact, the fan even predicted the way in which the 33-year-old will get dismissed as well.

“Kohli Won’t score a 100 in his 100th test. Will score 45 (100) with 4 gorgeous cover drives and then Embuldeniya will knock his stumps over and he’ll pretend to be shocked, and will nod his head in disappointment,” read the tweet. After Kohli’s dismissal, the Tweet instantly went viral. Several fans couldn’t believe how things unfolded in such a spooky manner.

Strangely, Kohli was dismissed in the same manner, by the same bowler, leaving the Twitter is disbelief.

It is to be noted that the ongoing Test happens to be Kohli’s 100th appearance in the longest format of the game. Thus, there was a special ceremony for him before the game, where he received a special cap for the special occasion. During his speech, the batting maestro spoke about how special this moment is for him.

“It is a special moment for me. My wife is here and so is my brother. Everyone is very proud. It is indeed a team game and it couldn’t have been possible without you. Thanks to the BCCI as well. In present day cricket, with the amount we play with three formats and an IPL, the one takeaway the next generation can take from me is that I played 100 games in the purest format,” said Virat Kohli.

In the meanwhile, the Delhi batter was dismissed for 45, and India were 199-4 at tea.
