The longest-running celebrity connection to the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati is Amitabh Bachchan. In a recent episode, the Brahmastra actor said farewell to the audience with a lot of emotion, following 15 successful seasons. But fans were confused by Big B’s farewell speech at KBC 15. Indeed, a lot of people on X (formerly known as Twitter) questioned whether Mr Bachchan had concluded the most recent season of the show or declared his retirement.
Amitabh Bachchan said, shedding tears from his eyes, “Devi aur sajjano, ab hum jaa rahe aur kal se yeh manch ab nahi sajega. (It’s time to leave, ladies and gentlemen, as the stage will no longer be the same.) Apno se yeh keh pana ki kal se hum yahan nahi aa payenge, na kehne ki himmat hoti aur na kehne ka mann hota hai. (Notifying everyone that we won’t be coming back here starting tomorrow is tough.).”
Amitabh Bachchan’s emotional farewell:
He continued, “Main Amitabh Bachchan iss daur ke liye, iss manch se aakhri baar kehne jaa raha hu, shubraatri (Goodnight, this is the last time I am saying goodbye to all of you from this show).” Fans are hoping that Amitabh Bachchan will return for a new season of the show next year, even though it’s unclear if the Sarkar actor has left the show permanently or if this farewell is only temporary. In the latest episode, Sheela Devi and Avinash Bharti were present. Sara Ali Khan, Vidya Balan, and Sharmila Tagore also graced the show during the finals. After Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh talked in a video that Vidya uploaded, Sharmila revealed that Jaya had given her the nickname Rinku Di. Conversely, Sara enjoyed her formative years on KBC and even shared one of her signature knock-knock jokes.
Speaking with a rival from Uttar Pradesh Avinash Bharti, Amitabh reminisced about his college days, bringing up particular incidents from dorm room number 27. It was at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, where Avinash studied, that Amitabh completed his BSc. Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 aired on Sony TV from Monday to Friday at 9:00 p.m.
