Australia all-rounder Ellyse Perry will play her 300th international game if she plays against India in the second T20I. At the age of 17, in 2007, she played her first international game for the Aussies. Since then, Perry has played 141 ODIs, five more T20Is, and 12 Tests. Apart from this, she has been part of multiple T20 World Cup and ODI World Cup-winning teams.

Meanwhile, talking about her potential 300th game, she was asked about whether she was aiming for the 400th one. In reply, the multiple World Cup winner said that she was open to what happens to her career. The 33-year-old also maintained that doesn’t matter if she isn’t able to play 400 games.

“I don’t know what’s in store …but if it’s meant to be down the track and I’m still around playing …I’m really open to what happens,” she said from India. “I don’t have a set time frame on it. Either way it doesn’t really matter, it’s just another number.

“For as long as I can contribute to the team and it’s something I find really motivating and enjoyable, I’d love to be here.”

Dad will always have my measure: Ellyse Perry

The all-rounder also paid tribute of her success to her family. She added that her dad still bowls at her. She also remembered her debut game, way back in 2007 against New Zealand.

“Every time, he bowls me. In general terms, Dad will always have my measure,” she said.

“My first game in Darwin, there were probably about 30 people,” she said, recalling her 2007 debut. “It continues to blow my socks off when stuff like that happens, which has been a true privilege.”
