The SunRisers Hyderabad have struggled in the last few seasons of the Indian Premier League. In the previous season, the Aiden Markram-led team finished at the bottom of the table, winning four out of 14 games. The squad has lost some star players like David Warner, Kane Williamson, Jonny Bairstow, and Rashid Khan over the last few seasons. The franchise is owned by media tycoon Kalanithi Maran. His daughter and SRH’s CEO Kavya Maran is always a regular in the matches of SRH and is often seen sad due to her team’s performance.
Kavya is often seen showcasing her passion from the stands or while building the squad during auctions. But, she is never rewarded by her team. Seeing the SRH CEO sit upset with sad expressions in the VIP box has melted the heart of the Superstar actor Rajnikanth. While speaking at the audio launch of the film ‘Jailer’, produced by SRH owner Kalanithi Maran, he urged the media tycoon to put better players in the squad as he feels bad seeing Kavya ‘like that’ on TV. Rajinikanth said, “Kalanithi Maran should put good players in Sunrisers Hyderabad team. I feel bad seeing Kavya like that on TV during the IPL.”
The special request from ‘Thalaiva’ has garnered a lot of attention from fans on social media with the comment sections being flooded by users. “Even I feel seeing Kaviya sad like this. She does not deserve it,” a user tweeted. Another user wrote: “Rajni sir we too feel bad seeing Kavya like that.”
