‘Dhoni hai to sab mumkin he’- Fans react as Chennai successfully retain Ravindra Jadeja for the next season of the Indian T20 League

MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja

Over the last few months, there have been speculations over a rift between Ravindra Jadeja and the Chennai franchise. Saveral reports had emerged that Jadeja wouldn’t play the next edition of the Indian T20 League for Chennai as he wasn’t happy with the treatment meted out to him during the 2022 edition of the league.

Jadeja was handed over the captaincy prior to the start of the tournament. However, a poor start to their campaign meant MS Dhoni took over the leadership duties midway during the season. Jadeja, seemingly, wasn’t happy with the decision, and later, was ruled out of the competition due to a rib injury.

Following the end of the season, Jadeja also deleted pictures related to Chennai franchise, which sparked rumours of a rift between the two. Several reports had suggested that the Indian all-rounder would play for a different franchise next season, however, all those speculations have now been put to rest.

Much to the delight of the fans, the franchise have managed to add Jadeja to their recently released list of retained players for the next season. Following the announcement, Ravindra Jadeja also posted a picture with MS Dhoni along with the caption, which reads: ‘Everything is fine #RESTART’.

The fans were overjoyed after getting to know about the development. Jadeja’s recent post didn’t take a lot of time to get viral and as it was flooded it with heart-warming reactions. Here’s a look at some of those:

Chennai didn’t have a great outing in the last edition of the Indian T20 League. They finished second from the bottom with 4 wins in 14 matches. Ahead of the new edition, the franchise have released big names such as Dwayne Bravo, Robin Uthappa, Adam Milne, etc.

However, they have put faith in the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali to name a few. Currently, they have a remaining purse of 20.45 crore and would be looking to do some shopping at the mini-auction. For the unversed, the auction will take place on 23rd December in Kochi.
