Delhi Capitals lost their sixth game in the ongoing IPL 2023
Talking about the game, the 2020 finalists lost their reverse fixture against SRH. In the previous game between the two teams, the Blue Brigade won the low-scoring game. In the recently-concluded game, the Orange Army won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite losing wickets, the batter counter-attacked the opposition bowlers.
Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klassen scored the fifties while Abdul Samad and Akeal Hosein played cameos. This helped the team reach 197/6 at the end of the innings. For the Capitals, Mitchell Marsh had four wickets. In reply, DC lost their skipper on the second ball of the innings. However, the likes of Phil Salt and Marsh scored the fifties and look like taking the team home.
However, they lost a few wickets and ended up losing the game by nine runs. With this, they need to win their remaining six games to remain in the playoffs race.
