On October 16, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 got underway. A total of of 38 sides will fight for the championship in the primary domestic T20 league. The Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali will host the opening of this event on October 16 and the finals on November 6.
There are five groups made up of an overall of 38 teams. Groups A, B, and C each have eight teams, while Groups D and E each have seven teams. The remaining six teams in the group will be faced by each team once. On October 27, the league stages end, and on October 31, the knockout stages start.
Mohali and Chandigarh will host the knockout rounds of SMAT 2023. Four Quarter-Finals will be played after the two Pre Quarter-Finals. The winner of each of the four Quarter Finals will advance to the Semifinals, and on November 6 the Semifinal winners will compete against each other in the finals.
Day One of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 featured a total of 18 games. Fans can anticipate thrilling matches over the next several weeks as the top players on the Indian domestic game compete in the competition.
