Releasing Sisanda Magala might prove a costly move for CSK in the IPL 2024 auction. Despite a limited appearance in IPL 2023 due to fitness issues, Magala’s T20 prowess, highlighted by his impactful lengths and adept death-bowling skills—ideal for the Chepauk surface—made him a valuable asset. Serving as a backup for Matheesha Pathirana, Magala’s dynamic lower-order big-hitting could have provided depth to CSK’s batting lineup.
