The events in the 2022 Commonwealth Games are coming thick and fast for India. Having won five medals so far, the Indian contingent would be looking to improve their medal count on Day four. Mirabai Chanu and Jeremy Lalrinnnunga have brought two Gold medals for the country. Notably, all five medals have come in weightlifting.
On day four of CWG 2022, Ajay Singh would be challenging for the top spot in Men’s 81kg category in Weightlifting. Harjinder Kaur would be doing the same in the Women’s 71kg category.
Day four will see the Indian contingent fight it out in Judo with Vijay Kumar Yadav competing in the 60kg Preliminary round. Jasleen Singh Saini in Men’s 60kg and Shushila Likmabam in Women’s 48kg would be hoping to get into the quarter-finals. Indian Men’s hockey team will face the hosts England in their group match.
