‘Chup chap kone me jakar injection lekar kahenge ki hm fit hain’- Chetan Sharma reveals scandalous details of Indian cricket team’s doping practices in sting operation

Chetan Sharma

Former India cricketer Chetan Sharma has made some explosive claims in a secret sting operation conducted by Zee News. He has alleged that some Indian cricket team players take secret injections to declare themselves fit to play, even if they are not.

Sharma’s allegations came to light when he was asked about the ongoing injury issues of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. “Jasprit Bumrah was unable to bend as he had a major injury other than that there are one or two players who take injections in private and says that they are fit to play,” said Sharma in the leaked clips from the sting operation.

Sharma further revealed that these injections contain drugs that are not caught in dope tests. “These are not pain killers. These injections contain drug which isn’t caught in dope Test,” he said.

The former cricketer also claimed that Bumrah’s injury was so critical that if he had played even one match of the T20 World Cup in Australia, he would have been ruled out for at least one year. “The players are not fit but they take injections to play. They are ready to play even at 80% fitness. They take injections and start playing,” alleged Sharma.

Sharma’s allegations are serious and have raised concerns about the practices of the Indian cricket team. The Indian Cricket Board has not yet commented on the matter. It is important to note that the use of performance-enhancing drugs or any substance that is not permitted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is strictly prohibited in sports. If Sharma’s allegations are true, it would be a serious violation of the anti-doping regulations.

As of now, it is unclear what action will be taken by the Indian Cricket Board or any other cricketing authority in response to these allegations. However, the matter needs to be thoroughly investigated to ensure that the integrity of the sport is maintained and the health of the players is not compromised.
