Salman Khan and Arijit Singh Cold War timeline:

For the unversed, the rivalry of Salman and Arijit Singh dates back to 2014. It all happened due to an unpleasant incident at an award function. At this event, Khan was the host, he asked Arijit Singh to dress casually if he was the winner. To this, the singer casually replied, “Aap logon ne sula diya (You all put me to sleep).” Following this incident, Arijit Singh’s songs were removed from Salman Khan’s upcoming films at that time including Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, and Sultan. Later in 2016, Airijit Singh made a public apology to Bollywood’s Sultan Salman Khan.

He urged the superstar to add his version of a song in the film Sultan. Arijit then confessed in his post that he tried to apologise to Salman Khan on various occasions but all in vain. Regarding the song in Sultan, Arijit had written addressing Salman Khan, “You (Salman) are mistaken about the fact that I insulted you. I have sung enough songs, sir. However, I wish to retire with at least one of your songs in my library. Please don’t take away this opportunity.”
