A plot in a seven-star enclave in Ayodhya, the holy town in Uttar Pradesh where the magnificent Ram temple is scheduled to open its doors later this month, has reportedly been purchased by superstar Amitabh Bachchan. ‘The House of Abhinandan Lodha’ (HoABL), a developer located in Mumbai, has not revealed the plot’s dimensions or cost. However, industry sources told Hindustan Times that it costs ? 14.5 crore and is about 10,000 square feet.
On January 22, the day of the grand consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, the 51-acre Sarayu will be formally inaugurated. The developer states that it is roughly half an hour from the airport and fifteen minutes from the temple. By March 2028, the project should be finished and a five-star palace hotel built.

Mr Bachchan stated, “I am excited to travel to Ayodhya, a city that is very dear to my heart, and begin this adventure with ‘The House of Abhinandan Lodha’ for The Sarayu. At a gathering, The ageless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries.”
According to the report, he further added, “This is the beginning of an emotional journey into the heart of Ayodhya, where modernity and tradition coexist harmoniously to create a rich emotional tapestry that really speaks to me. I am excited to establish my residence in the worldwide spiritual hub.”
It takes four hours to get to his birthplace, Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), from Ayodhya. According to HoABL chairman Abhinandan Lodha, BigB is the “first citizen” of ‘The Sarayu‘, and his investment will make the project a “symbol of Ayodhya’s global spiritual significance”.He said the superstar’s investment in the Ayodhya project “reflects confidence in the city’s economic potential and deep appreciation for its spiritual heritage.”
On the work front, the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to feature in a never-seen-before role. The actor is all set for his upcoming film ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘. Along with Bollywood’s Big B, the movie will feature ‘Salaar’ star Prabhas and ‘Fighter’ actress Deepika Padukone in prominent roles.
