Armaan Malik, an Indian singer, claims he has received a lot of backlash after calling Ranbir Kapoor “the best actor of our generation.” Trolling comes not only from other actors’ fan clubs but also from critics of Ranbir’s latest film Animal, which has been chastised for its misogynistic overtones. He took it to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to drop a cryptic post.
Armaan Malik wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, “I hate that by just saying what I felt about somebody being the best actor, so many peeps are coming at me and judging me as a person lol you guys really need to chill. That tweet was written in admiration of someone’s craft, and that was the end of it. Please direct your rage elsewhere. Thank you (emoji for namaste).”
Armaan Malik gets trolled:
Armaan’s statement comes just one day after he said on X, “#RanbirKapoor is the best actor of our generation. Period (emoji salute).” While many users agreed with Armaan in the comments section, many others chastised him for his choice. A user wrote, “All my favs on a disappointing spree,” Meanwhile, another wrote, “Why? Why is that? I liked you, bro. Wtf armaan (irritated emoji). Are you saying this after seeing the film Animal? I can never trust a man in my life”

On the other hand, a woke netizen defended Armaan Malik and wrote, “Lol y’all chill. He said RANBIR IS THE BEST ACTOR OF THE NEW GENERATION. Which indeed he is. Armaan ALSO SAID THAT YJHD AND SANJU are Ranbir’s BEST WORK,” Armaan’s tweet has surely stirred controversy on the internet. Fans have taken it to their timeline, to take sides. The trollers are on a spree as they rush into his comment section.

Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, stars Ranbir Kapoor as a toxic, misogynistic man obsessed with his father and determined to avenge an attack on him. The film has grossed over $300 million worldwide and $200 million domestically.
