Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui takes home a whopping amount and a luxury car!

Finally, Bigg Boss 17 has a winner after three months of challenges, fights, switching allegiances, and a tonne of drama. The winner was revealed by host Salman Khan on Monday just after midnight in front of the top two finalists, Abhishek Kumar and Munawar Faruqui. After a closely contested final, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged victorious over Abhishek.

Munawar Faruqui, a stand-up comedian, was named the season 17 winner of the reality show “Bigg Boss” on Sunday. Salman Khan, a Bollywood actor and show host, declared 32-year-old Faruqui the winner, awarding him a car and a ?50 lakh cash prize. In the live voting final, where Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan were the special guests, Munawar defeated actor Abhishek Kumar.

He thanked his supporters on his official X account and shared a photo of Salman Khan clutching the Bigg Boss season 17 trophy. The internet is buzzing with pictures and videos from the grand Bigg Boss 17 finale. Fans have poured in immense love and praise for the winner Munawar Faruqui. It was clear, that he would be the winner of season 17.

Along with the Bigg Boss winner in the grand finale were actors Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, and YouTuber Arun Srikanth Mahashetty. Mr. Faruqui emerged victorious in the first season of the Kangana Ranaut-hosted reality TV programme “Lock Upp” in 2022. On October 15, 2023, the 17th season of “Bigg Boss” made its premiere. Among the contestants were Vicky Jain, Ayesha Khan, Anurag Dobhal, Aishwarya Sharma, Neil Bhatt, Isha Malviya, Jigna Vora, Firoza Khan, and Rinku Dhawan.

For the unversed, Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui is well-liked but sometimes controversial. 2020 saw the start of his comedic career with a video on his YouTube channel, and later that year, he transitioned to stand-up comedy. His stand-up show in Indore sparked controversy in January 2021 when the son of a BJP MLA accused him of inciting hatred and making hurtful jokes about Hindu deities. According to India’s laws against hate speech, Munawar was detained for 37 days before being released the following month. Protests and criticism followed his arrest.
