It’s been quite a few difficult months for the England men’s cricket team ever since they won the T20 World Cup in Australia. They lost back-to-back One Day International bilateral series against the likes of Australia and South Africa. Their disastrous form in limited-overs cricket continues as they were whitewashed by Bangladesh in a bilateral series.

England are touring Bangladesh and had a great start to the series as they registered a 2-1 win in the ODI series. However, the joy was short-lived as they lost the T20 series 3-0 to an inspired Bangladesh side.

In the third and final T20 of the series, England were on their way to registering a consolation win. However, they fumbled while chasing a competitive 159 at Sher-e-Bangla stadium. The Three Lions were 100/1 at the end of the 13th over. However, Mustafizur Rahman dismissed the set Dawid Malan and Jos Buttler in back-to-back deliveries to breathe life into the game. England lost at frequent intervals to lose the game by 16 runs.

The World Champions have become a laughing stock on the internet. Not only cricket fans are trolling them but also the former Indian batsman, Wasim Jaffer. On Twitter, Wasim Jaffer tagged Mike Vaughan, former England captain, and asked where he is hiding after the disastrous series.  In the tweet, we can see Wasim Jaffer sporting the Bangladesh team coaching jersey. In July 2022, the Bangladesh Cricket Board had appointed the former Indian batsman as a U-19 batting consultant.

Fans did not need a second invite and joined the bandwagon with Wasim Jaffer. Some fans declared a win for Wasim Jaffer whereas some mercilessly trolled Vaughan’s hiding nature when England loses the series.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to Wasim Jaffer’s dig at Michael Vaughan:
