Sunrisers Hyderabad and England international Harry Brook had another poor day with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2023. In the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals, he could only manage seven runs off 14 balls. Despite his opening partner going well at the other end, Brook couldn’t replicate or even come close to Agarwal’s strike rate. After batting at the strike rate of fifty, the England player was cleaned up by Anrich Nortje.
This is not his only failure in the tournament. Apart from scoring his maiden hundred in the game against KKR, the right-hander hasn’t done anything notable. The 20-20 World Cup 2022 winner has failed to even cross the 50-run mark in other games. Meanwhile, after the poor performance from Brook, the fans have found another opportunity to bash him on social media.

Harry Brook is the generational talent so he performs only once in a generation and he has already played against KKR in this generation. So Don't blame him for anything.

Since that century, Brook isn't able to play seam n spin alike, contributing series of low scores to the SRH total!! Glenn Phillips deserves a go who plays spin well n can contribute in the middle order, Mayank n Abhishek can open!!

People called me rubbish on social media: Harry Brook
After scoring his maiden IPL hundred, the Lahore Qalandars player in the PSL took on the trolls on social media. He also spoke about batting at any position for the team
“It was a special night. A lot of people say that opening the batting in T20s is the best time to bat since there are only two people (outside the inner fielding circle). But I’m happy to bat anywhere. I’ve had quite a bit of success batting at No 5, I’ve probably made my name batting at No 5 in T20 cricket. I’m happy to do whatever the team needs.”
“I was putting pressure on myself a little bit after the first few games. If you go on social media, people were calling me rubbish, and you start to slightly doubt yourself a little bit. I just went out with a ‘I don’t care’ mentality tonight, and thankfully it came off. Indian fans out there are probably gonna be saying ‘Well done’ tonight, but they were slagging me off a few days ago. I am glad that I can shut them up to be honest.”
