There are several talented youngsters who will look to make a name for themselves in the upcoming 20-20 World Cup.
The 20-20 World Cup 2022 is just around the corner. The competition will see 16 nations compete amongst themselves to be crowned T20 World Champions in November. There are several big stars who are raring to go and stamp their authority in the upcoming mega event.
However, there are some talented youngsters as well who will look to make a name for themselves in the upcoming World Cup. On that note, let’s take a look at some young players who can turn out to be the X-factor for their respective teams:
1. Australia- Tim David
Tim David has burst onto the scene as one of the most hard-hitting batters in the current era. He was sold for a whopping Rs 8.25 Crore at the 2022 Indian T20 League auction. He began his career playing for Singapore but has now found his way to the Australian lineup. David is going to be the youngster that grabs the most attention in the upcoming World Cup for his stupendous hitting prowess.
2. Harry Brook:
Harry Brook has emerged as another batter who is a the fine example of England’s aggressive batting approach. Brook has taken the cricketing world by storm with his scintillating innings in his short career. He recently ripped apart the Pakistan bowling attack in the third T20I of the recent series, scoring 81 off 35 balls. Brook will be one of the players to watch out for in the upcoming World Cup.
3. Finn Allen:
Finn Allen has been one of the most prolific batters for New Zealand, recently. The star batter has already scored a T20I hundred in his short career of just 13 innings in the format. The 23-year-old has a magnificent strike rate of 169. The youngster has the ability to win games single-handedly for the Blackcaps.
4. Arshdeep Singh:
The left-arm seamer has stormed into the Indian team on the back of his impressive performance in the Indian T20 League. The seamer got off to a great start to his international career as he bowled a maiden against the dangerous Jason Roy. Singh is going to be one of India’s key bowlers at the death with the ability to bowl pin-point yorkers at will.
5. Naseem Shah:
Naseem Shah is another fast bowling talent who has emerged from Pakistan. The seamer made an impressive debut against India in the recently concluded Asia Cup. The 19-year-old is expected to feature among the top five bowlers in the upcoming 20-20 World Cup.
6. Obed McCoy:
McCoy has emerged as a wicket-taking option for the West Indies in T20Is. The left-arm seamer has had a brilliant start to his career picking up 35 wickets in 22 innings at an average of 18. The 25-year-old has two four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket-haul in his career so far.
