The fans are eagerly waiting for the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as India hosts Australia for the first time since 2017. The four-match Test series will begin on the 9th of February with the first match being played in Nagpur.
Since 2004/05, Australia has not won a Test series in India. While the Men in Blue will be looking to win this series in order to secure a spot in the final of the ongoing Test Championship, Australia will be looking to end their losing streak against India.
Meanwhile, an old video of the team arriving at the hotel has gone viral for the wrong reasons. When all of the players and support staff arrived at the hotel, the hosts greeted them by applying a ’tilak’ to their foreheads. However, Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik, among others, refused to get the tilak.

While some users have singled out the two players based on their religion, many have come to their support saying that it was their personal choice. On the other hand, some users pointed out that Vikram Rathour and Dayanand Garani also refused the tilak.
As for the Border Gavaskar series, the Indian team has already reached Nagpur, while the Australian team has set up their camp in Bangalore. The series will be crucial for India because they are on the verge of clinching a spot in the Test Championship final.
While Shreyas Iyer has reportedly been ruled out of the first Test due to a stiff back, Ravindra Jadeja could make his comeback to the Indian team. The star all-rounder has been out of the Indian team since September due to a freak injury in his knee. He had surgery and rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, and he also played in a Ranji Trophy game to demonstrate his fitness.

And how's that an issue? Everyone has a right to practice their beliefs. Don't create a controversy out of nothing. They're Team INDIA !!
