‘Badhai ho Badhai’ – Twitter rejoices as Axar Patel ties knot to long time girlfriend Meha Patel

On Thursday (26th January), Indian cricketer Axar Patel married Meha Patel in Vadodara. Due to his wedding, the all-rounder missed the series against New Zealand this time. Even though he did not share any photos or videos, many fan accounts on Twitter did.

Axar’s wife is a dietician who is frequently seen on social media. Meha doesn’t hold back when it comes to sharing photos on social media. She is said to be a frequent traveller, having been to Goa, Dubai, and the United States with her now-husband, Axar Patel.

The couple held their Mehendi Ceremony and pre-wedding festivities on Wednesday (January 25). Meanwhile, a video of their wedding ceremony has gone viral. In a video, Axar can be seen performing a dance sequence to a Bollywood song.

Axar’s wedding follows the marriage of star batter KL Rahul to actress Athiya Shetty. The couple married on January 23rd at Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. Due to ‘personal reasons,’ Axar Patel was given a rest for the six white-ball games against the Kiwis alongside Rahul.\

As for his career, Axar performed admirably in the recently concluded T20Is and ODIs against Sri Lanka. The Gujarat-born cricketer drew a lot of attention after scoring 65 off 31 balls against Sri Lanka in the second T20I match played in Pune, where the hosts were defeated.

His knock in Pune came when India was chasing a 208-run target. His valiant 65 off 31 balls, combined with Surya’s 51, appeared to be steering the Indian ship safely to land, but this was not to be. The hosts were defeated by 16 runs, but Axar’s knock will live on.
