Indian pacer pacer Avesh Khan put in a sensational bowling display in Lucknow’s last game against Hyderabad. Khan took the wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, and Abdul Samad to help his team win the game by 12 runs. Avesh Khan, later, has dedicated his match-winning performance against Hyderabad to his mother, who is currently hospitalized.
At one stage, Hyderabad was cruising the chase at 143/4 in 17.2 overs, in pursuit of a 170-run target. However, Khan then took the wickets of Nicholas Pooran and Abdul Samad in a single over to turn the table completely in favour of Lucknow.
Thanks to Avesh’s spell, the Men in Orange were restricted to 157/9, thereby falling 12 runs short of the target. After the game, Deepak Hooda and Avesh Khan spoke to each other in a video uploaded on the Indian T20 League’s Twitter account.
In just three games, Deepak Hooda has managed to hit two half-centuries. In the video, Khan asked about Hooda’s sensational performances in the tournament. To this, Hooda said those two innings were important for the team as they were in a difficult situation in both games.
On the other hand, Hooda congratulated Khan on the first four-wicket haul for the franchise and asked him to whom the pacer will dedicate the performance. The right-arm pacer said that he will dedicate his performance to his hospitalized mother.
“I would like to dedicate this performance to my mother who is hospitalized. I received a lot of support from her. After the match, I picked up my phone and connected with her on a video call, and gave her the details of the match. By God’s grace, she is fine nowâ€, said Avesh Khan while speaking to his teammate Deepak Hooda during a post-match interaction.

Khan previously played for Delhi last year and was one of the top performers with the ball. His performance in the league also helped him earn his maiden India call-up in February this year.
