Animal trailer review: Your very first look The brutal rivalry between Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol’s equally raw and dark characters has arrived. And, based on the trailer, which was released by the cast and producers on Thursday, Animal is going to be a thrilling ride. The trailer quickly transitions from intense to bloody, with all of your favourite characters appearing. Animal will also star Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, in addition to Ranbir and Bobby.

Ranbir appears in his bloodiest form yet, killing mercilessly with a knife, an axe, and a machine gun. The trailer emphasizes what Ranbir’s character has become as a result of a violent upbringing during his formative years, which was only hinted at in the teaser. Anil Kapoor as the father is to blame. The film will be released in theatres on December 1. Animal was supposed to be released on August 11, 2023, but it was pushed back due to post-production work.

T-Series officially announced Animal on January 1, 2021, with a video featuring actors Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Parineeti Chopra, as well as director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Tripti Dimri was also rumoured to be in the film a few days later. Rashmika Mandanna was reported to have replaced Parineeti Chopra in March 2022, after she chose Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila over Animal. Rashmika has been cast as Ranbir’s wife Geetanjali.

In an interview with Variety, Ranbir was asked what prompted him to accept Animal, as well as whether he had seen director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, both of which have been chastised for glorifying misogyny. Ranbir said, “Well, to be honest, I was really drawn to the script of Animal. It’s a unique and intense story that piqued my interest right away. I must admit that I did watch Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh and found them to be incredibly powerful and impactful. My decision to accept Animal, however, was not solely based on those films. The script, the character, and the opportunity to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga were all important.”
