Andhra Premier League: Match 7 & 8- Preview, Probable XIs, Pitch Report, Match Details, and Updates

Andhra Premier League got off to a rain-affected start but since the first two matches, all games have been exempt from it.

9th July would see a double header in the inaugural Andhra Premier League. Let’s have a look at all the details about the two upcoming matches. 

Andhra Premier League Match 7: Godavari Titans vs Vizag Warriors

In the first match on 9th July, the third-placed team Godavari Titans go head-to-head with the bottom table Vizag Warriors. GOD have won their debut match but Vizag lost theirs first. 

In their last match captain KV Sasikanth played a gritty half-century knock of 55 off of 47 runs to take the team to 115/6. The match however was stopped due to rain and GOD were finally declared the winners as their opponents were two runs behind by the VJD method.  The first win for GOD came as a result of good luck so nothing much can be drawn from it. If they are to win their next match, they would have to make more than 112 in 20 overs. 

Vizag Warriors on the other hand also made a similar 118/10 in their first match. They however could not contain their opponents and lost the game in just 13.5 overs. Captain Ashwin Hebbar came good with 35 run knock in 27 balls, but none of the other batters could make a significant contribution.

Andhra Premier League Match 8: Coastal Riders vs Uttarandhra Lions

The second match from 9th July pits two of the lower half teams against each other. UTL currently sit at fourth with one win in their one match whereas CSR sit at fifth with no win in their two. The CSR team would have to improve massively if they are to have any chance in this game.

Pitch: 

The ACA- VDCA cricket ground is a bowling-friendly track and is proven by its average of 108 runs. The weather suggests moderate rain for the match which could affect the possibility of a full match. Temperatur would remain around 32 degrees Celcius.
