India vs England 2024
Rahul Dravid provides massive update on Ravindra Jadeja’s injury ahead of 2nd Test against England
England beat India in the 1st Test on Sunday by 28 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
England beat India in the 1st Test on Sunday by 28 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Rohit Sharma’s side could not chase an easy 231-run target at home. English batter Ollie Pope was the star for the visitors as the batter scored a brilliant 196 runs. The visitors played their ‘Bazball’ style of cricket and showed brilliant intent with the bat and the ball. The Men in the Blue side have had an injury problem ahead of the 2nd Test that is a few days away.
Ravindra Jadeja has been added to the list, he was the best performer for the side as he scored 87 runs in the first innings and took five wickets in the whole of the game. Jadeja was suffering from a hamstring problem. The star all-rounder appeared to have a niggle in his hamstring moments before Stokes made a direct hit that changed the course of the match.
Jadeja’s might be doubtful to be participating in the 2nd game. India is already missing the service of Virat Kohli as the star batter has been back home citing personal reasons. Already the miss of Kohli has been striking the side as he is the best chaser in the world of cricket and in case they miss Jaddu it will be a huge problem for the side. The Men in Blue are looking for a bounce back and win the series as well.
Once I get back, I’ll speak to him: Rahul Dravid
Speaking to reporters Dravid said, “We’ll see. I honestly haven’t had a chance to speak to the physio as yet. Once I get back, I’ll speak to him and see what it is about. We didn’t get a hundred, you know, we didn’t get somebody getting a big hundred for us.”
“So, in some ways, in India, I just felt we left those 70, and 80 runs back in the hut in the first innings. The second innings is always going to be challenging. It’s one of those things that, you know, it’s tough. It’s not easy to chase 230 or it’s not done very often.”
