ODI World Cup 2023
Big stars set to perform in pre-game show ahead of India-Pakistan clash at ODI World Cup 2023
The India-Pakistan clash is just one day away and fans are already excited about the two arch-rivals against each other.
The ODI World Cup 2023 has already eagerly anticipated fans at almost all of the Indian stadiums. Some fans will be more fortunate enough to obtain tickets to the thrilling match between India and Pakistan on October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium.
Now that they are aware that the Indian Cricket Board has scheduled a pre-match show prior to the game, the fans should be even happier. Due to the fact that this is going to be a day-night match in the biggest cricket arena in the world, the game is scheduled to start at 2 pm IST. While the toss is set to occur at 1.30 pm itself.
Fans will be able to enter the stadium no fewer than four hours before the first ball because the pre-match show starts at 12.30 IST. Therefore, fans would be hoping to get to the stadium as early as they can. This is if they have reserved tickets for the match between India and Pakistan.
Three artists have been asked to play at the pre-game concert on October 14. The Indian Cricket Board has notified the supporters of this through their social media handle. Many artists are scheduled to take part in the pre-game and mid-innings show. These Indian superstars are Shankar Mahadevan, Neha Kakkar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhwinder Singh, and Arijit Singh. The board also let the audience members know that the “Musical Odyssey” will start at 12.30 IST.
No opening ceremony but a ceremony for India-Pakistan?
Notably, there had been no ODI World Cup opening ceremony this year. At the same location on October 5, England and New Zealand played in the tournament opener. The Indian Cricket Board, however, intended to have a pre-match spectacle before the thrilling India vs. Pakistan match. This might be the reason why there was no major opening ceremony scheduled.
The contest between India and Pakistan will be a special case since it is the ‘Mother of All Battles’. It will be no shock to the fact that crowds are lining up to go into the stadium as early as possible.
