‘Parchi Parchi’ – Pakistan international receives hate from crowd during Pakistan vs New Zealand ODI series

During the Pakistan v New Zealand ODI series, Pakistan Cricket Team became the number-one team after winning the fourth game. For the first time since playing their first ODI in 1973, the team topped the world rankings. While the fans in Pakistan and India celebrated the Asian side’s achievement, there was one Shan Masood who was bullied by the crowds during one of the games.

In a video that is going viral, the left-hander was bullied by the crowds with the chants of ‘Parchi-2’. For those who don’t know, this term is used for a person who is alleged to have a high-level connection to get desired results. It was an unfortunate incident with the player who has represented the Green Brigade across formats.

Pakistan Cricket Team could only remain number for two days

Meanwhile, talking about the ODI series, the home team, Pakistan dominated the series. After winning the first four games, they became the number one ODI side. However, when they needed to sustain the ranking before going on a break from international, they lost the rankings. Apparently, they lost the last ODI and slipped to number three in the rankings.

Australia, who was the number one side before, have reclaimed the top ranking although they played their last international game in March this year. Meanwhile, Pakistan won’t be playing any international cricket till August this year. They have a series against Sri Lanka in the island nation. Apart from this, they may or may not play in the Asia Cup 2023 which has been moved to Sri Lanka.

If PCB loses the hosting rights, they might consider not playing in the tournament. In that case, UAE which lost the ACC Premier Cup final against Nepal, will get to play the tournament. The team might host a muti-nation tournament in place of the Asia Cup.
