‘You faced incredible difficulties in life with a big smile’: Harshal Patel pens down emotional note for his late sister
Patel had left the bio-bubble of the team after the game against Mumbai
Bangalore medium pacer Harshal Patel has penned down an emotional note for his late sister, who died on April 9. Patel’s sister was ill for some time, although the disease she was suffering from has not been revealed by her family. On April 9, Harshal was playing against Mumbai in the ongoing Indian T20 League. He came to know about his sister’s death after the game.
He didn’t take the team bus from Pune to Mumbai. Instead, he decided to fly to his home in Haryana. The right-arm bowler missed out on the game against Chennai and had to go through a three-day quarantine after coming back. The 31-year-old joined the team for the game against Delhi.
Meanwhile, Patel, in an emotional note, wrote that his sister was one of the kindest and most joyful people. He added that his late sister used to face the difficulties of life with a big smile. He further revealed that his sister had asked him to focus on his game and not worry about her health.
“Didi, you were one of the kindest and most joyful people in our lives. You faced incredible difficulties in life with a big smile on your face till your last breath. When I was with you in the hospital before I came back to India you told me to focus on my game and don’t worry about you. Those words was the only reason I could come back and take the field last night,” wrote Patel.
